Ramakkalmedu is located 15 east to Nedumkandam on Thekkedy-Munnar route . Tukkupalam is the nearest town. Altitude is 3500 ft from sea level. Ramakkal medu is the land of wind. We can reach the top of medu by walk and some times we may feel that the wind thrown us in to the deep plains of Tamilnadu.

From on the top we can see many miles the plains of Tamilnadu consists of agricultural fields organized in a geometrical manner and a straight road leads to Mdurai.There is a huge statue of kurava and kurathi on another hill beside it. Trekking and viewing of sunset is very important
